Integrated Teacher Education Program - B.Sc.B.Ed. (Secondary Level)
The Integrated Teacher Education Program – Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education (B.Sc.B.Ed.) is a forward-looking academic initiative designed to seamlessly integrate core scientific studies with professional training in education. This program thoughtfully balances theoretical knowledge and practical application, combining Science and Education components to prepare competent Graduate Teachers for the secondary school level.
The course was originally introduced under the NCTE Regulations, 2014, and was subsequently restructured as the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) under the NCTE Regulations, 2021 by National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. Our institution is proud to be among the first colleges in Tamil Nadu to offer this program since 2017 and to have obtained the Letter of Intent to continue serving the rural student community of Thiruvarur District. We are presently awaiting formal recognition from NCTE, New Delhi, and affiliation from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University.
